Description of the model

The Mercedes-Benz W15 is part of the Mercedes-Benz W15 series, which was produced by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz from 1932 to 1936. The W15 series consisted of various models, primarily designed for commercial and utility purposes. It was part of Mercedes-Benz's broader strategy to offer a range of vehicles catering to different market segments.

The W15 series included vehicles such as vans, trucks, and buses, which were widely used for transporting goods and passengers. These vehicles were known for their robust construction, reliability, and durability, making them popular choices for commercial applications.

While the W15 series may not have achieved the same level of fame as some of Mercedes-Benz's passenger car models of the era, it played a significant role in the brand's overall product lineup and contributed to Mercedes-Benz's reputation for engineering excellence and quality craftsmanship in the commercial vehicle segment.

According to information sought out, sales documents of bodywork to individual interested parties is not available. Only a description of a photo from a magazine where a racing vehicle with a Reuter body is probably equipped with a 1,7 and 2 liter engine (see results 2 000 km).

Old photos show the use of the vehicle for racing, around 1937 - 39, when it was driven on the left site in Bohemia. During the war, many cars in Czech were converted into trucks in order to qualify for permition to buy gasoline. From the finds around the wreck, we tried to model the idea of converting this car into a truck. This is not a historical photo. Mikl body factory in P?erov, bodyworked several such "racers" with Reuter karoserie – only stories, no documents yet.

For such Mercedes cars like also the Mercedes SS (black roofless sports cars from the 30s) the name "Schwarz Prince" is used in Germany.

On Archiv picrure of Mercedes Benz you can see Reuter brand on the body. Noone has today even a copy of this Reuter brand from 1933-35 (even not Reuter/Porsche museum).
